Set Bios Boot From CD /USB

How to set your PC boot from CD/USB?

Different PC may have different steps, please select the brand of your PC:

IBM, DELL, Phoenix, Lenovo, HP, Sony, NEC, TOSHIBA, ASUS, Acer, Gateway

 

IBM

When you reboot the PC, please hold the F1 key.

Select Devices and I/O Ports.
Select Legacy Diskette A:
Change the Legacy Diskette A: setting from Auto to Disable.
Select Startup Option.
Select Startup Sequence Options.
Boot from CD/DVD:
Change First Startup Device under Primary Startup Sequence to CD-ROM.
Boot from USB:
Change First Startup Device under Primary Startup Sequence to USB stick or USB zip.
Press "ESC" to return to the top main menu.
Save and exit the Configuration/Setup utility program.


DELL

When you reboot the PC, please hold the F2 key.

You can enter bios by pressing F2

Now choose Boot Sequence and then arrance 1 to CD-Rom by pressing - + and press space to enable it
Press ESC and choose save settings and exit.

 

 

Phoenix

When you reboot the PC, please hold the DEL key.

Select Advanced BIOS Features.
Change Startup Sequence.
Boot from CD/DVD:
Change First Boot Device to CD-ROM.
Boot from USB:
Change First Boot Device to USB stick or USB zip.
Press "ESC" to return to the top main menu.
Press F10 to Save and exit the Configuration/Setup utility program.

 

Lenovo

When you reboot the PC, please hold the F1 key.

Select "Startup Configuration" and press Enter.
Boot from CD/DVD:
Select CD-ROM in the 'Boot Drive Sequence:' section.
Move CD-ROM to the top in the 'Boot Drive Sequence:' section
Boot from USB:
Select USB stick or USB zip in the 'Boot Drive Sequence:' section.
Move USB stick or USB zip to the top in the 'Boot Drive Sequence:' section
Press Esc.
Press Esc again.
Select "Yes" in the pop-up message "Settings have been changed".
Do you want to save CMOS setting?" and press Enter. After this change, the system will always attempt to boot from the CD-ROM, if the bootable CD-ROM is in the CD-ROM drive.

 

HP

When you reboot the PC, please hold the F10 key.

NOTE:The BIOS settings menu is accessible by pressing the F2 or the F6 key on some computers.

Select the Advanced tab using the right and left arrow keys.
Boot from CD/DVD:
Select CD-ROM in the Boot Order section.
Boot from USB:
Select USB drive in the Boot Order section.
Press Esc to return to the top menu
Save and exit the Configuration/Setup utility program.

 

SONY

When you reboot the PC, please hold the F10 key.

NOTE:The BIOS settings menu is accessible by pressing the F2 or the F6 key on some computers.

Select the Advanced tab -> Boot Configuration using the right and left arrow keys.
Boot from CD/DVD:
Select CD-ROM in the Boot Sequence section.
Boot from USB:
Set the "boot from external media" flag in the advanced section of the BIOS to "on".
Select USB drive in the Boot Sequence section.
Press Esc to return to the top menu
Save and exit the Configuration/Setup utility program.

 

NEC

Press F2 during the NEC boot-up screen for setup.

Select the Boot using the right and left arrow keys.
Boot from CD/DVD:
Select CD-ROM in the Boot Sequence section.
Boot from USB:
Set the "boot from external media" flag in the advanced section of the BIOS to "on".
Select USB drive in the Boot Sequence section.
Press Esc to return to the top menu
Save and exit the Configuration/Setup utility program.

 

TOSHIBA

Press F12 during the TOSHIBA boot-up screen for setup.

Select the Boot using the right and left arrow keys.
Boot from CD/DVD:
Select CD-ROM in the Boot Sequence section.
Boot from USB:
Select USB drive in the Boot Sequence section.

 

ABUS

Press F2 during the NEC boot-up screen for setup.

Select the Boot -> Boot Device Priority using the right and left arrow keys.
Boot from CD/DVD:
Select CD-ROM in the Boot Sequence section.
Boot from USB:
Set the "boot from external media" flag in the advanced section of the BIOS to "on".
Select USB drive in the Boot Sequence section.
Press Esc to return to the top menu
Save and exit the Configuration/Setup utility program.

 

ACER

When you reboot the PC, please hold the F2 key.

Select the Boot tab using the right and left arrow keys.
Boot from CD/DVD:
Select CDROM in the Boot Order section & click + to make it as the first one.
Boot from USB:
Select USB HDD or USB FDD in the Boot Order section & click + to make it as the first one.
Press Esc to return to the top menu.
Save and exit the Configuration/Setup utility program.

 

Gateway

When you reboot the PC, please hold the F10 key.

Select the Boot using the right and left arrow keys.
Boot from CD/DVD:
Select CD-ROM in the Boot Sequence section.
Boot from USB:
Select USB drive in the Boot Sequence section.
